Hi! I'm Vandana, the founder of Mettā. When I was in college, I found out that my beauty products were tested on animals. It broke my heart. I started digging deeper. I then worked in the beauty industry and discovered even bigger problems - greenwashing, overconsumption and excessive plastic waste.
I realised that we need to do better. So I set out on a journey to create a brand inspired by Mettā - a meditation practice of loving kindness that I learned growing up.
A brand that is kind to your skin and kind to the planet.

The beauty industry thrives on more — more products, more trends, more steps. The result? Confused customers, sensitized skin and overflowing landfills.
We're doing things differently. What does our skin really need? We believe in making 1 product to solve 5 concerns over 5 products for 1 concern. Simplifying skincare to amplify results.
When we say clean, we mean really really clean
We spent 4 years researching and testing to create truly clean, safe, and effective formulations — combining the best of nature, Ayurveda, and scientific actives.
Our products are primarily plant-based and meet the highest clean beauty standards, excluding over 2700+ questionable ingredients like parabens, sulphates, phthalates, petrochemicals, microplastics, and synthetic fragrances.
And they're vegan and cruelty-free — none of our products have been tested on animals or contain animal ingredients.

The beauty industry produces 120 billion units of packaging waste every year — mostly plastic. And 91% of it isn’t recycled. It ends up in landfills, taking upto 500 years to break down and releasing microplastics into the environment.

We partner with Shrimad Rajchandra Love & Care, an NGO creating meaningful impact in Gujarat and Maharashtra. We contribute 1% of our profits to support their animal welfare, humanitarian care, and environmental initiatives.
